Previously I posted a thread regarding my female veiled concerning whether or not she's okay and gravid >>https://www.chameleonforums.com/need-help-my-female-veiled-119210/

well now I got a great news! she finally delivered! gave me 48 beautiful egg and for a first timer I think that's a lot of eggs.

She's totally beat up after the process that I need to hand fed her and get her plenty of water because she's totally dehydrated(her eyes were really sunken)

2 days later(today) she's back to her normal self again and I couldn't be happier for her. Gonna keep monitoring her condition just to make sure she's really okay but by the looks of it she's doing fine. Proud of her! :D

here's a recent photo of her that i took just now

and here's a photo of her eggs after i've collected them and get them ready for incubation

Congrats on a successful egg lay!

How much do you feed her and how often?

WHat is her basking temp?

i didn't really monitor her basking temp but i did use the solar glo light bulb from exoterra she seems to do fine with it haha.. i feed her around 5-10 crickets per day.. i usually put 5 in the morning and if she finished it by noon i'll add 5 more so that way if she's still hungry she'll eat it if not then i'd just leave if for tomorrow haha.. and i don't let the crickets loose i put them in a decent plastic container with their jumping leg cut off so that they won't jump out and she can just access the food whenever she wants..

You can def cut back on her food intake..

If you feed around 6 bugs every other day, you can reduce the size of her clutches, which in turns lengthens her life span.

she never seems to eat if she's full.. i know this because sometimes if she's full she will not show any interest in the food i offered her and she'd just stare with no desire to shoot her tongue out haha.. but i definitely appreciate the advise and will try to cut down her food intake so thanks!

Glad to her she is doing excellent and is now a proud mom of 48 little eggs. Congrats!

thanks! yeah hopefully I can get all of the eggs to hatch but i'm not naive i know that there bound to be a few bad eggs in a big clutch like this but i'll try my best to keep the eggs healthy throughout the 6 month+ period!

It took my eggs a full 9 months to hatch.

6 months is a little short, which can lead to issues with the babies.

if you feed every other day, you can make her clutches smaller, which you really want to aim for.

biggest clutch my female laid was 38, smallest ive had was 15 from my female panther.

have u ever deal with veiled before? i read online panther eggs incubate longer than veiled.. veiled average incubation period range from 160-190 days if i'm not mistaken.. hey i mean if it's time for them to hatch around 6 month time there's nothing i can do to stop them right LOL..

oh well i guess in the end the incubation period varies and it's different in each case i guess haha.. whatever it is i'll try my best to keep the eggs in good condition regardless of how long it takes for them to hatch
