So after waiting and waiting and not finding any eggs in the lay bin or the Naturalistic Viv I could not figure out what was going on with my trio of cresties...well I came home to his little guy sleeping in the lay bin:eek: I know he didn't hatch in there because I have been checking. Let me know what you think. This is a Humphrey X Maunganui baby looks like it's going to have pretty good structure just like mom. I know it has the longest tail and most defined tail pad I have seen on a young gecko. Not bad for a first attempt if I do say so myself:D:D

Wow! Amazing accidental hatch! Must admit the healthiest eggs I've found have been the ones she hid that I found on viv cleanout day!

Thanks guys...Yeah today is going to be cleaning day....I am going to tare apart the naturalistic viv looking for it's twin and other eggs.

Awwwww! Congrats Rob! Crestie babies are so cute! Hurry up and finish cleaning so you can let us know if you found another baby!:D I was hoping to breed my two this year, but Buffie STILL isn't heavy enough. It's looking increasingly like I'll have to wait until next year now.

Thanks!! I will definitely post pictures of what i find if anything. The sad part is the other one may have been eaten  The two geckos this baby is from have been together since Jan then around March I added my red girl. From the looks of the crests and length of the tail and tail pad formation and knowing the temps of the viv i would think incubation length was 90-120+ days. I had been checking and checking the lay bin and saw both females using it to sleep in at times....I just couldn't understand why they were not laying. I had chocked it up to a virgin male that was slightly under weight when i put them together at 29g (the females are BIG at 40+)....but obviously he got the job done and didnt waist time about it :D

So viv dismantling complete. I felt like it was easter again :D Here are the fruits of my labors, all look fertile and the twin of the baby posted has not hatched yet but looks to any day. All eggs were marked before removing and placed into the egg organizer in the same orientation. I also found the 8th egg the one this baby hatched out of :D So luckily no tragedies!!

Awesome!!! Congratulations again Rob!!! Lol

Cool congarts Clark :)

Thanks guys I am really excited about these little ones. Cresties are cool because they really are like a box of chocolates. You never know what your going to get:D You know you put stuff together that's hot and at least feel like you have a fighting chance to produce something cool. And when something cool comes out......

So, egg #2 hatched tonight. I am SUPER excited about this one!!! This was exactly what I was looking for when I put these two geckos together. Here's the pics:D:D

That little guy is going to be a looker! Great pinstriping! Good luck with him. I didn't know they were that small when they hatched!

I like the snail in the first two photos. :)
