Yes she does look gravid, but you have a much bigger problem. What caused her body to be the colors it is? She looks like she has suffered a major fall, or some other major trama. The part of her turning dark needs to be seen by a VET ASAP.
I agree with Laurie, i've never seen a female quadricornis with that red coloration.. my female when is angry and refuse the male became all black with torquoise spots on the head but never red!!
I've never seen also yellow eyes like yuor female.. as i said you i'm wondering if it's a quad gracilior speciment! what's your opinion about that Laurie?
Andrea can you also post here pics of the male? so we can identify correctly if it's quad quad or quad gracilior..
I don't really know the answer, but we have a guy here who can tell us. Let me see what he has to say. I will get back to you even if I have to do a little research.
it's the 3 day that the female was stop in one place!!
I noticed that you are a little dehydrated and this morning has regurgitated a substance similar to our stomach acid! I'm worried
I would isolate her. She looks either really stressed or gravid. I would keep her well away from the other chameleons in a heavily planted cage and keep the humidity high until you have got more of an idea of what is going on.
I don't like the way her body, etc. is one color and the head so different. Makes me think that there is something else going on besides being gravid. If she's showing signs of declining health then she should go to a vet ASAP. I also don't like that she is regurgitating. Sorry I can't be of more help.
she is only in the cage and i had take in the cage a container for it lay... i had see that she made strange shit after regurgittions .. there is a transparent substance instead of urate... the umidity is bettween 75% I have to raise it further?
Just keep her isolated out of view from movement and other chameleons. I would add some more plants. All of this to keep her comfortable and not stressed. Like Kinyonga said you should have her checked at a vet.
