my petco steal! read for possible savings

I was just at petco picking up crickets and they had repti sun 5.0 and 10.0 18 inch bulbs for 2 and 3 dollars respectivly. I bought up their entire stock lol I'm set for a bit. Plus I bought a beardie dragon on am impulse Haha what else am I going to do with all these juvi cages and plethora of roaches.

I got the best zoo-med bulbs once. three of them $1 each as a pet store was closing. they were so great for my turtles the perfect amount of light using only 1.5wats each but were 45wat replacements. Ah il never find them again. and if i do not for $1.

seriosulY? u sure they werent mismarked? even online at a deal i get those bulbs for around $13-15 a piece....petco usually charges triple that.


btw just a tip: dont shop at petco/petsmart. i have done extensive testing (at least in the 50mile radius around my house) and petco/petsmart charge almost exactly 3x the price for ANY product as that of a reptile store.

Mice at reptile stores: $1 to $1.50
Mice at petco: $3

Crickets at reptile stores: almost everywhere its around 20 for $1 any size.
Crickets at petco: $0.14/ea (thats 6 for a dollar). with the club card u save like 2 cents a cricket so its 12cents, u still get ripped.


anyway i'm ranting on that, but i'm gonna hit up my local petco for those bulbs today
