My Panther Cham. is Acting Strangely

My 2.5 year old panther chameleon is acting strange. He's going to the bottom of his cage, acting very restless, seems a little off-balance at times. He made a massive bowel movement yesterday, so he's definitely not impacted. This only just started, so maybe it's nothing. However, if he continues to go to the bottom of the cage, what do I do?

What is your basking temp?

How big is his cage?

has anything changed in his cage or near his cage? (ie new cham in another cage, new plant, etc)
