My Oustalets finally bred!

After some really odd, unexplainable hormonal behavior by my female, she finally showed receptive behavior. Her head turned bright red and she wanted to get near the male, so I placed them in the same enclosure. She circled him for about an hour trying to get him to mate with her and they finally did. I didn't think it would happen because I have been trying for so long, but I made the mistake of walking by and they both stopped and looked at me in the middle of mating, it was kind of funny, but hopefully they went back to it.
So my questions are, Should I leave them in the same enclosure together for a while or remove her after the one mating? Roughly how many days will it be before I can expect egg-laying? When she does lay, what temperature should they be incubated at and how long does it usually take? I have read all the care sheets about Oustie breeding, etc, I should want to hear from people who have actually done it and what has worked for them. I would also appreciate any other tips you may have about caring for a gravid female Oustie (I sure hope she is). Thanks!

I'd take her off as soon as you see signs of rejections, usually from the female. She'll turn more agressive and darker. It usually is a matter of time, minutes to hours. However, i don't see any big deal if they end up sleeping together for the night, as long as you wake up early tomorrow to keep an eye on them! ;)

Congratulation of the mating by the way! :)

Thank you so much, I will head out there as soon as the sun comes up for her walk of shame back to her cage :)
