My other hobby

Coral tanks always look awesome. Riccordia is a favorite of mine, you need to post a couple pics of the new setup. I like soft corals a lot more than the hard corals, how they move with the water current. I could sit there and watch for hours.

I also used to have a coral tank, just a 24g aquapod. We then had a 4 day power outage this last winter. I was only able to keep water movement and temps stable for 2 days, the entire house got to cold (48F) to maintain the temps and it killed my tank. I would like another one, but go bigger.... I just can't afford chams and coral tanks at the moment, 2 fairly expensive hobbies. It sucks knowing you can't do anything to save several hundred dollars worth of coral.

I LOVE SALT WATER TANKS!!! Ever since I was a kid, my Dad and I have always had a fish tank. He downsized about a year ago from a huge tank with a massive lion fish and a big powder blue tang to a small coral tank with just a little maroon clown. :) Your old set up is beautiful. Is that a tomato clown? We used to have PJ cardinals before Killer Carl (the lion fish).. :)

small maroon...give it time:D
I run my aquarium maintenance company and work at a GREAT pet store in so cal part time, mainly specializing in reptiles and fish:p
makes these "hobbies" (ways of life) more affordable

the 200g bin for growing and selling corals helps too;)

That is a nice tank. I'd love to see pics of the new layout.

I just broke my last SW tank down. Needed the tank for a hisser colony..The Chams will take over.

this is what it looks like after the remodel. Live Rock is 4 pieces total, 2 Tonga branch( no longer collected) and 2 Pukani pieces. Collection is primarily Zoanthids/Palythoa's and Florida Ricordea and Ricordea Yuma

It's a good start considering my budget of $0 and just trading stuff:D
