My new veiled De Vinci

According to the sales person at the store, he is 9 months but after researching a lot of information he seems a bit younger. Can someone tell me around how many months he looks? Around what age would be ok for me to handle him?

:D Hello and welcome to the forums. He does look a little younger then she told you. I would guess 4-5 months but some one with more experience will chime in I'm sure. Age really doesn't have much to do with when to handle them they do. Usually the first couple of weeks some where new you try to leave them be and get use to the new home then you just take cues from them. If it stresses them leave them alone. Start with cup or hand feeding then as they get use to you they will let you do more OR NOT?
Here's a good beginners care sheet.

Thank you I knew he was young lol :) ya he does seem to hide from me but when I grab him he seems to calm down. It's only when he sees me about to grab him. I have tried to feed him in a cup but he doesn't eat it only right after I drop the food in his cage :D

Nice ... He looks really ypund still because I thought mine was 5 months but mine is probably 7 months than still he looks awesome

He is a cutie...I would say between 2 and 3 months....I got mine at 3 months and he looks much older than yours......handle him now.

I Love them when they are this young!!! Id say about 3-4 months,,,mine is approx 5-6 months and over the last month he has had a growth spurt and he doesnt look like that anymore!!!
Yes i would suggest handling him now,,,cuz as much as I handled mine in his younger months,,,although not excessively,,,he now likes his basking spot and branches way better than my hands!!! I can only get him to come onto my hand is if I put a silkie or hornworm above my wrist,,,oh and them things do nibble human flesh!!!
DaVinci is very beautiful tho!!!! CONGRATS!!! And Welcome!!!

I would say about 3 - 3.5 months old. You can handle him now as long as you don't see him stressing out too much. Usually they will puff up and possibly hiss a little, and often show black spots when stressed, but my boy generally calms down once outside the enclosure. Best of luck with your new friend! ;)
