Yeah so sorry to hear. Younger chameleons usually handle falls better than larger chameleons. We had a neighboors cat on our porch one time where we keep our chams, the cat was chasing an anole that hung around outside because of all the crickets. I didnt realize the cat had clawed through the top of two cages while running away until the next day i went out to feed my chams. At that moment I noticed that one of my chams was missing i looked all over for her and after it was confirmed that she was not up on the porch we knew she fell/jumped off! Half hour later i found her basking in a bush happy as can be and that was a 20 foot fall. I know we got really lucky im sureit all depends on how they fall.

I can offer you a free oustelets chameleon If you are interested. I have several to choose from im trying to rescue them here in florida because there is a wild population that fish and wildlife is trying to erraticate. Send me a PM if you are interested. ... My condolences.

So sorry for your loss. It's not easy losing one suddenly like that...and its not always easy to figure out why.

How were you misting it?

sorry for taking so long to reply.I couldn't find the thread I was under the assumption that it had been deleted. But anyway I sprayed my chams like four times a day for about two minutes at a time.
