Indeed they are! Still need to take pictures of their undersides, but for now here is one of them protecting my tool bench...

That is nuts.... I was considering it until I got a good look at them. Then I realized that they freak me the hell out, and i'd rather look at one rather than own one. Have you gotten stung or whatever?

They sure look mean. I haven't handle them that much to get used to me because of work and doing things around the house. At the local pet store they have one that walks around the counter sometimes. They had that particular one for at least three years.
