Hi guys,
I have a 4 month old veiled chameleon and he is my first chameleion, so i would like to know what you guys think about my set up. He is doing fine, really active and eats allot. I dont handle him so much, nearly anything at all, because I dont want to stress him. I had him for a month now and I am very happy.

It is a exo terra flexarium which is 42 cm x 76 cm x 122 cm and I bought an shelf from ikea where i could put it in. Then I drilled some holes in the bottom, so i could have a drainage system as well.

Here are a few pics! :)

Thanks

In one of your photos it looks like your heat lamp is at an angle, you might need to adjust that to allow for a better thermal gradient. Just my observation, I love your cage though!

Yeah it is at an angle, is that bad? because the lamp holder i to long for it to be right over it with no angle. Other wise I need to look for some other solution.

Hey Erim. The light at an angle is only bad if the temperatures are not getting hot enough.

Are you using a temp gauge? What are you basking spot temps?

I bought all my supplies from a reputable chameleon breeder and he said that the basking lamp is fine, he said that I should keep it 5 - 6 cm away from the net so it does not melt. And when I asked him if I should get a thermometer he said I didnt have to get it because the basking lamp will do fine.

Do you guys think I should get a thermometer? because I got a hydrometer but not a thermometer.
