My New Chameleon Sokar!! Day 3

So,

I have had my little guy for 3 days now. I'm surprised at how little he was when i got him on tuesday. He turned 5 months on April 1st. I'm curious is he just about to start growing like a weed? i see past clutches from this sire, and at 6 months they are like a decent size. lol i just am confused because unless he like triples in size in a month haha. He just seems really tiny I'm curious if this is "average" for 5 months.

Also, I saw him drinking!!! I was so happy i was so worried about dehydration and getting him hydrated. I've been misting him 3x daily a nice SOLID misting too. and he's also got a dripper.

As far as food goes, I've got a pretty good variety. I'm still working on getting more. Right now I have (and all are appropriately sized) Hornworms, Superworms, Phoenix worms. Also some wax worms for treats.

So day 1 i took him out of the box and let him go in his cage. He ate 2 wax worms.

Day 2, He ate 5 hornworms and 1 superworm.

Day 3, He's eaten a superworm so far today in about an hour from now I'm gonna feed him.

and yes i know about staples and treats. my shipment of dubia's should be here today or tomorrow.

I know with babies (i know 5 months isn't exactly a baby but..) you are supposed to feed em 2-3 times a day as much as they will eat. but i'm just trying to get a reference on how much i should expect him to eat?

Also he's stayed his beautiful colors (what is coming through anyways) and hasn't turned dark brown or dark colored at all. I'm pretty confident on the water intake. I've seen him drink several times. i must say that is so awesome looking the way they drink. it cracks me up!!

also I'm gonna post some pictures I have taken of him for size comparison. Is he smaller or bigger than your panther at 5 months??

Also, He gets nervous when i go to put food in his cage, 90% of the time all he can concentrate on is me. any tips on feeding? I'll definitely check out the feeding section of the forum

Thanks,

Andy M.

He looks good. They grow at different rates, like anyone. He'll catch up with good food and care. Kath.

Ahhhhh snap!!!!! so happpy. so like i said i was worried he hadn't eaten enough. so I left a cup in his cage tied to the screen wall and placed down low so he could see in it. I left probably..i dont know..20 phoenix worms? 1/2" phoenix worms...and when i got home from my lunch break (probably about 4 hours of alone time for Sokar) The cup was empty!!! haha that makes me happy. he totally scarfed em down!
