My New Carpets - YAYYYYY

Sorry i didnt read ahead....lol i almost brought them home too!!!1 but one is f and one is male...congrats they are a beautiful pair!!!!

When I first saw this thread earlier today my initial thoughts were two females. The tail base does look slightly enlarged in pics 2 and 3 so you might just have a marginally less endowed male. One that may blossom now that he's in better conditions than at the importers holding facility.

Besides the basic green colour is more typically, but not always, male.

First is female from central Madagaskar (lateralis lateralis). No doubts.
If I will saw the second picture separately my guess will be lateralis major (=Tulear) female. If they are from same region I hope it is male. No bulges, strange.

they way she reacted to the suposed male in the store led me to beleave it to be male also ben had it confirmed. i spoke with stacy and she gave ben a ring and found out for me. i could or he could be wrong.

I do have some pics that I will post of my old female that looks just like the one pictured. The green one.

If you look at my gravid female thread (link posted earlier) the greener gravid girl looks just like the light green one when not gravid.

Did you get them from ben siegel reptiles? if so they are a pair and she has already layed but may have more to lay she only layed 8 i think

What do you mean? He got 4 in on Monday and I picked out 2 - ones that were different looking. They were wild caught.

oh well then there are 2 more there a pair..one just layed on the 15th and her cage mate is a male. i remember now hearing that there were 4 and a lady took 2 home....and i was told one she took home was gravid....lucky you!!!! if they both are femal there is definately a boy there and he is very beautiful.

Thank you everyone for your help. I bit the bullet and got a for sure male from Chameleon Company. Jim was most helpful. So.....I now have (or will on Tuesday) 1:2. The male is captive breed and is 2 months old, so by the time he is ready to meet his girlfriends they will be done with their parasite/worm treatments and ready to party.
