I am net to the fairly new to the whole chameleon world and just purchased my first panther. I am not a pro when it comes to chameleons yet so i was just wondering what you guys thought of my new boy. Please dont hesitate to tell the truth as i would like to learn as much about this hobby as i do koi fish. Thanks

really thanks alot do you think he will get brighter and with more reds, oranges and yellows coming up from the belly?

Definitely a good looker, but if you really are ready for some good constructive criticism / advice, post pics of his enclosure, and describe your typical routine, feeders, supplements, temp gradients, lighting type and schedules, etc.... Tell us how old, where you got him, any history you know. There are so many experienced folks around here at your disposal. With the incredible knowledge base available to you, you can alleviate numerous potential issues with just asking and learning from everyone around you. Welcome to the best forum in the world.

sorry guys like i said he is 6 1/2 months old he came from LLL reptiles. I have almost everything in the world to feed him crickets, meal worms, super worms, horn worms, wax worms, silk worms, repti worms, and butter worms. He is in a repti breeze xl cage with numerous vines, dowels, and a ficus tree. I am using a 25 watt UVB with a 75 watt exo terra bulbs. I have a aquazamp misting system with four misters and also a water dripper all on an exo terra timer. I also use all of there calcium, d3 and multi vitamin. I have it set to mist him four times a day. I hope this all helps and once again sorry

Come on chicken. Where are the roaches? ;) Another great staple to think about.

Can you have roaches is Canada? In FL we can't have dubias or many other roaches legally, but because there are some type(s) of native discoids from here, we can have discoids. Discoids are very similar to dubias. no stink, no crawl on smooth surfaces, no fly, but still lay eggs. Dubias retain the eggs and pop out livies.

From what I understand crickets are in the 18% protein range. Roaches kick it up into the 33% I believe.

I really cant stand the site of the roaches even though i have everything else under the sun for them lol.

Nice sleeping colours. His colours should continue to come in until he's about a year old.

Panthers keep changing colors for years they get a certain pattern but the color scheme will continue to change up not drastically but a little as time flys but as craig said you will get his primary colors whens he is around a year

I think they are all illegal in Canada because none of them would be found here naturally. It would be nice if I could get them because my cham has been picky with his crickets lately...

You should check in with some of the feeder breeders around here and see what they know. I don't obviously know, but it surprises me. Darn.
