There is a great article about keeping them in the right kind of glass cages that provide airflow/ventilation. So, since mine started in glass and freaked about getting put in screen I went and spent about $600 on another glass set-up for mine. I know of chams kept both in glass and screen and do well.
If I had it to do over again, I would cover three of the sides of the cage and after a few days uncover another side and see how that goes for the stress level.
