My Mantis

Malicious

I found a nymph mantid in my front yard about 2 weeks, while pulling weeds.

I have him in a 64 oz Deli cup with a screen lid, and he is eatting and drinking very well!

I have feed him tiny silkworms and 1 wk old crickets. He was about 1/2" when I found him, and he's currently almost 1".

This little guy, needs a name too!......:)

Here are a few photos of him today eatting a cricket.:)

"Hey guys, I'm Jay's Mantis!":D

"This things like a mozzarella stick!"

"Do I have anything stuck in my teeth?"

Nice Mantis, I like Manny too....A bug's life was a great movie:D
Do you always arrange your sink collection by color?

NICE SHOTS!!! Damn can't wait until I can take a picture like that. I don't have enough time to set up my tripod and etc

Damn your pics are crisp without tripod. Mine get blurry in areas when I don't use my tripod like my "thanks for dinner daddy" thread pictures.

Those pictures were pretty nice mate, some of the best I have seen you post.:)

I dont use a tripod very often. When you use a aux flash set-up you can keep decent shutter speeds.

I'm using a Canon 430exII, and a Lumiquest Omni-Bounce, nothing special.

A upgraded flash is the next thing you should look into, when funds permit.
