my male chameleon is biting my female

Are they in the same cage?!?! Chameleons should not be housed in the same enclosure. If they are separate them immediately!

Chameleons should almost never be kept together. They are mostly anti-social. Put them in separate cages right away. Even if they don't cause physical damage to each other the stress will likely kill one or both.

can anyone tell me why my male chameleon is biting my female:confused:

Hi there. Welcome to the forum. As others have said chameleons are solitary creatures. There are some who free range their chameleons but that is supervised and the free range covers a large area. Can you tell us a bit more about your two? Babies can be kept together for a few months but need to be separated if they become stressed or one becomes dominant. Adults can be put together for a short time in order to breed, then separated. If you can tell us more we might be able to help.:)

He's biting her because chameleons basically hate every other chameleon and should never be kept together under any circumstances circumstances unless breeding or they're a couple months old

What species of chameleon are you keeping? There are a few species that seem to enjoy the company of others.

This isn't really true. Chameleons are solitary and territorial. Most species would not share living space except when interested in breeding. Its not a matter of hating anything.
