What a gorgeous cham!! LOVE the eye pattern and his body .. and his crest and well yeah, I love everything about him! Perhaps he is picky .. ? What does his poop look like? Can you describe it? You should experiment with diff. types of food like roaches, silkworm ... maybe he's sick of crickets. How are his eyes? Is he very active? Does he drink water when you spray or from the dripper?

By the way, you really need more plants or greenery in there. He needs places to hide and feel at home. He needs more vines and needs to have different levels. How are his temps and humidity?

Okay here it comes. I'd be pissed too if I was a chameleon and lived in that. Dude make it a jungle, give him more highways and real plants like pothos, ficus etc. Check it out under "Resources". What would you want if you were a Chameleon?

Also, you don't need a light for him at night unless your house is really cold and his temps are below 60 at night. They need cooler temps at night. Don't confuse him as he must sleep at night.

Your lizard looks in good condition from what I see. Mealworm not good & too many, will cause blockage, no poo. Sometimes adult lizards eat less, this is normal. A change of cage will upset appetite for a few days, nothing to worry about.
Very important check temperature, not too hot, light not to close.
Cage for bird, not best for lizard. Better like this.. :)

Well because of your location a bird cage.....well its not recomended but will do....try to get a real chameleon cage possible by the one recomended above....but do add more folliage. Visist the safe plant list and food list. Fake plants are ok aswell....but real ones give off higher humidity.

FAKE PLANT ARE NOT OK FOR AN UNEXPERIENCED FIRST TIME CHAM OWNER...VEILDS WILL EAT FAKE PLANTS THAT IS WORSE THAN OVER FEEDING MEAL/SUPER WORMS.....

!!!!NO FAKE PLANTS!!!!!

esp if cham isnt eateing right he is probably lacking nutrition somewhere try offering him romain lettuce a little strawberry look in the safe plant list/food list.if he is already eateing at live plants in his inclosure he will no doubt try the tasty looking fake ones. i advise anyone who has fake plants to inspect every inch and connection juncture at every cleaning you may be suprised to find your cham his nibbled your hard foam branch....

That's like the biggest controversey ever....real or fake?....some vields are plant eaters and others arnt,,,,,I have real and fake ones and my vield is a plant eater....but he has never touched the fake ones....only his shafflera. Yes real is always beter....but wether or not she has axcess to the "safe".plants in organic non fertalizer soil in south korea ...isn't known to me

I say live plants are better, but fake plants being used with live plants is okay as long as you watch to make sure the chameleon doesn't eat the fake ones.

Non plant eaters can usually have fake plants safely in the cage, but the silk ones are harder to clean and may not even get clean enough.

oh THX!

I remove fake plant!
and I will buy more plant for my cham..
thx everyone!

and I can understnad eng better than translated eng to korean ^^

You said..."T-Rex chameleon calcium plus every feeding(every other day)"...I'm not familiar with this supplement...does it have phosphorus, D3, vitamin A in it?

You said..."today dung is looks not good"...can you describe it a bit please?

You said..."placement - near the window but calm place no sunlight"...I don't like to put cages near windows when it gets cold at night. The draft that might come from the window can cause fungal infections and respiratory infections. I'm not sure if this would have anything to do with the appetite or not.

If you move a chameleon or rearrange the things in its cage it can affect its behavior for a while.

You said..."I need spot? I use only redspot for nighttime...I must have sunglo or sunspot for my cham?(I already have UVB)"...unless the temperature in the cage goes below 16C you don't need heat at night. The cage during the day should have an area that is in the mid 80's for a veiled male.

thx for answer Kinyonga

1. T-Rex chameleon calcium plus have D3, vitamin A and ash but I cant see phosphorus Is it same phosphorus and ash?
2. Dung looks yellow urine is normal.. so I look closely their r many "SANI-CHIPS" it is substrate from T-REX :( so now I remove all substrate.
3.I moved cage ^^

And I have question! about plant!

Today I bought 2 Herb Rosemary and spearmint
Can I put these herb in chameleon cage? (My cham like eat leaves...)

Thank you!

Yellow dung suggests a level of dehydration. If you increase the humidity, it should make it more difficult for the cham to get dehydrated. You can increase the humidity by adding plants and you could also consider putting something solid over some of the sides of the chameleon cage to contain the humidity.

You should be aware that it is possible to overdose on both Vitamin A and D3. It's less harmful to have no supplements at all than too much. If you can find pure calcium without D3, which they cannot overdose on. You can put that on most of your feeder insects then use Calcium with D3 less often (weekly or monthly depending on strength of the substance you are using) .

It's ok to use those plants you mention but I'd suggest there is better choices as they're generally small and not very strong. I also don't think it would take very many feeder insects to make a mess of them. If you want a food tree, perhaps a small Orange or Lemon tree would be better. A bonsai ficus is also a possibility. I have one of them and it is very strong for it's size.

Pothos is the easiest to look after. Ficus is also very easy and seems to do well, regardless of the amount of water it gets. Schefflera and Hibiscus are less indestructible but look pretty cool when they grow.

If I were you I would try to use a plain calcium wihout d3 about 2-3 times a week and use that other calcium twice a month.

I like umbrella plants and hibiscus plants along with ficus trees. I can't seem to keep one of my pothos alive... :(

That's interesting. My hibiscus plants are still in early years and small but they have comparatively few leaves although have been improving recently, especially since changing my UV light to Arcadia D3. I've had a Pothos for a few weeks, which wont fit in the chameleon cage with other plants and haven't watered it and has seen no natural light and it's doing perfectly fine. I also have a spare Hibiscus beside my window and it looks fairly sorry for itself, only having 1 or 2 small leaves. I figured they were probably fairly invincible but perhaps not. I have 3 Ficus trees of different varieties and all of them are doing well and growing. I don't use any consistent method to watering as I'm honestly not sure how much they need. I just give them a lot.

My ficus's will drop their leaves if they're over watered/sitting in a small Puddle. The hibiscus I have is relatively small (two feet?) but it's doing really well even without a grow light and it's in a small reptarium :) win. I have one pothos in my panthers cage that is growing like a weed, but the one in my veiled's cage is just about completely dead now so I'm about to remove it...

You said..."Dung looks yellow urine is normal"...yellow urates indicate dehydration....but I don't know why the feces (dung) would be yellow. What have you been feeding it?
