Wow. I am actually really surprised at the number of people who cannot care for a chameleon properly, even as adults, and I am a teen!! Lol. Anyway.... My wittle little babeh Apollo *Veiled chameleon, AKA The love of my LIFE!! <3* Is going on a year old and has been doing extraordinarily well considering my research I have done on these beautiful creatures!! :p
Heres a pic :3

Now, if you look VERRRYYY closely.... you will notice a small burn on the tip of his casque. This pic. Was taken at least 2 1/2 - 3 months ago and It is getting a little..... Black spotted???? HELPPPP!!! It is also tilting to the left * his casque* but I am working on getting better vitamins in em' and putting him in front of my window for natural sunlight. Don't worry peeps... I got dis. Other than that he is due for a checkup in the next couple weeks and he is one really healthy pet chameleon.

DEETS:
Cage: 16"W x 16"L x 36"H

Diet: regular supply of crickets, a container of mealworms every other week, sometimes phoenix worms if I get the chance for my parents to buy some -.-

Misting: Little dripper, rainfall system - twice a day for 4-5 minuets. Sometimes I take him in the shower with me and he loves to explore the bathtub :3 He drinks a lot then, but I have seen him numerous times drink within the cage... he's so CUTEE! <3

Feces: Normal, moist, white pee stuff with the poop sometimes a little orange but is usually a white.

Bottom of cage: Coco husk, bark... stuff X3 Forgot the name but it works well and repels most molds.

Temps: 80-90 during day, 70-80 (room temp) at night. NOTE FOR TEMPERATURES: Should they be older for a year old cham?

That just about sums it up :)

OH YA!!!!!! When do they shed usually and... do they grow to their surroundings?? Just wondering. About to upgrade cage from the height listed above to a 24"W x 24"L x 48"H. AKA; THATS HUGE :) Only the best for my strawberry lump :* Love ya Apollo!! Any guidance would be kindly accepted :3

ok. . . .

first you need a dusting schedule i use d3 twice a month and multi vitamins twice a month and calcium with NO d3 every feeding and you need to get rid of the substrate and as far as live plants did you wash the plants when you got them? you should have them replanted in organic soil and LARGE river rocks on top of it and you need to start gutloading with fresh greens and stuff healthy stuff, you should have a 5.0 repti-sun uvb bulb and your heat sounds about right

Ya,

I washed the plants, have a 5.0 UVB light bulb and the plants are also in organic soil, oh don't worry, I got that covered :3 What should I replace the bark with? Where should I put the greens and what fruits/vegies should I use? Thanks soooo much!!

Get rid of the bark and leave the bottom of the cage empty. It will be easier to clean, and will help keep a healthier environment.

When you buy feeders, put them into a container and give them a wet paper towel to drink from (orange slices work also). Collard greens, mustard greens, apples, oranges, and butternut squash are easy to find and great for gut loading the feeders.

Hi!

It is also tilting to the left * his casque*

Me thinks your chameleon needs more calcium. UVB won't penetrate your window, so, no...you don't got this. If you could actually get him outside for an hour or so every few days it would help, but just getting near the window isn't going to stop the casque tilt.

What is your dusting schedule and what exactly do you use?
