My hoehellii Chameleon and Jacksonii Chameleon Enclosure

These are the enclosures of my hoehellii chameleon and Jacksonii chameleon.

I am trying to match the natural environment of the chameleon as much as possible, and I think temperature, humidity, and ventilation are the most important.

I´ve experienced a big shifting in behaviour with the Jackson, once you offer them tons of foliage. They´re then way more relaxed and will show themself more and more in the open. And they hide from the heat or UVB whenever they had enough, especially during mid day they seek coverage from UVB. Experiencing the same behavior with the K. Boehmei. I guessing a typical montane species behaviour and would make lots of sense, considering their natural environment.

The first picture is the hoehelli chameleon.
The second and third are Jacksonii.
As you said, Jacksonii, who lives in the third breeding ground, likes to hide and hides from uvb. On the other hand, Jax, who lives in the second breeding ground, does not die.

TBH, I wouldn't want to say what's 'most important' or rank anything. IMO, ALL husbandry is important, including foliage and enclosure placement (so basking sites are at/above eye-level, more).

It's not just a matter of picking plants off of lists. If you look through the Enclosure Picture Threads (there are currently 3) and https://www.google.com/search?q=diy...UVHzQIHaoDDAYQ_AUoAnoECAEQBA&biw=1024&bih=625, the best enclosures/habitats are planned out and start with a foundation of a centerpiece plant (doesn't matter that your enclosures are bioactive), and build out from there. Pothos, some Philos, and Inchplants grow faster, but are best utilized as climbers or hangers (trailing and wall cover).

I decorated the interior.

When i kept hoehnelli I would use big schefflera plants that's filled up the entire enclosure. Gave them a lot of places to hide

You're using a glass terrarium.
How do you ventilate?

So I used the exo terra ones. They have a ventilation strip at the base of the doors that allows aire to be sucked in the bottom and flow up through the top screen. It's excellerated by either adding a small heat lamp, I used to keep my room in the 50s so during the day I gave them a basking spot in the mid 70s, around 73 - 75. The hot air rises and increases flow. Or u could add a fan but that will dry out the enclosure faster.
