My first Build... Is this too much?

I started my first build recently and am repurposing an armoire and was wondering if what I plan on doing with the branches is excessive. I also plan on putting expanding foam on the entire background and am adding about 10 different live plants. Any feedback from more experienced builders is much appreciated.

It looks great!

So far so good. What are the dimensions? Be sure to be mindful of the temps on that top branch. Are you planning on adding in additional lighting for plants?

47.25 x 41.25 x 21.75. I plan on using a dimmable lamp for the basking but will be using a 36” Reptisun LED UVB which came w/ a 5.0 bulb.

I searched all over for a 36” quad fixture but those seem to be hard to find, well at least one with individual reflectors.

First I've seen/heard about that fixture. THX.

Branches look ok; I'd pay attention to the distance between the T5 UVB and basking branch(ses), and create a gradient if possible. Same for a basking lamp. IME, LEDs don't usually put out enough heat for basking (unless this is something new, too), in which case a household incandescent bulb should work fine.

Ya they do not put out much heat, if any at all, but I will be using the dimmable lamp with an incandescent bulb for basking if needed. I have a female veiled so basking temps don’t actually need to be too high. In her current reptibreeze 16x16x30 screen cage I have a 24” dual T5 and the heat from the UVB and 6500k bulb put out enough heat so I didn’t even need a basking bulb.

The branch network is perfect! great job! Did you end up getting any other lighting besides the individual T5? The plants will need additional lighting. you can find 36in individual t5's that you can daisy chain together. This is what I just ended up ordering for my new enclosure in the 48 inch. https://www.pangeareptile.com/store/t5-uvb-light-fixture.html
How close will the highest branch be to where the t5HO sits? I am guessing you will have window screen between.
Since you have a female temps really should not be over 80 at basking to help control her clutch size with a reduced meal plan.

Ya the Reptisun LED UVB has built in white and red LED lights for plants and a single T5 UVB. The highest branch is probably going to be about 6 inches from the top. And yes I will be installing screen on top, sides and doors.

I am also thinking about using my old 24” dual fixture and throwing two 6500k bulbs in that but I wanna see how much lighting the LEDs provide first.

It’s even got blue lights that are supposed to imitate the moon light but I don’t plan on using them

Yeah I have seen those.. Some people love them some do not. I heard that the LED's can go out on that unit. No first hand experience with it though.
Now that I've looked at some reviews, I see what you mean. Kinda pricey too.
Not a bad idea combining UVB & grow in the same unit, but why they put the moonlight in there... ? :cautious:

lol The moonlight function is supposed to come on creating a semi light time so when other lights go off this would be on for say 15-30 minutes before total darkness...
