Current Problem - My female has a bump on her gum line. I made a vet appointment for Monday morning as my vet is out of town for the weekend. I want to know what I can do to help her before we go to the vet. is there any way that we can care for it? does anyone know what it could be?? I am freaking out I dont want something to happen to her. Shes not acting any different and I only just noticed it. it does not have anything coming out of it. it kind of looks like a kanker. or something simular? what can I expect at the vet? and what she I be asking for her to do? What test does she need to do and what test does she not need to do? Thanks in advance. I will try to get a picture of it today. I dont want to stress her out I wish I would have notice it before. I hope she will be okay!?!?!

Sorry you're having troubles! Sounds like it could be a few things. Some sort of infection from a small feeding injury like a bug bite, growth on the bone, mouth rot, I'm not really sure I'm just guessing.

At the vets you'll probably want to do a swab or blood test to see if she's fighting infection, an x ray to see if it's a bone thing.

Hope everything is ok for you guys and it goes well at the vet :)

I will try to get some today at her feeding. I didnt want to stress her out any more than needed and I noticed it when I was putting her back in her cage and she caught a glimps of my male. when she gapped at him i noticed it. its the same color as her gums and looks like a kanker does. there is nothing coming out of it, and she hasnt changed her behaviours or eating habits or anything. it doesnt seem to bother her. but i did notice this morning that her lip looks a little swollen. you couldnt tell yesterday unless she opened her mouth now you can see it by just looking closely at her head. I hope shes okay. I would hate for it to be anything big. I hope we can just get medication form the vet and get rid of it. :S I will be stressing out until she is better I do know that much.
thanks for your replies.
