Snapped some pics of leaf today. Its been 10 days since she was bred and shes takin on weight pretty quickly but im keepin a close eye as to not make her overweight. She still has a mad appetite and is staying well hydrated and im giving her extra calcium. Im happy with how things are going so far. What you guys think?

Awesome Nico, she looks good. Hopefully she starts putting those babies in the bucket when the time comes for it. My first Veiled should be here by Thursday from Mike, and yes you are right Chams are a great anti-drug. lol

Shes a man bear pig. In other words she is very evil

Edited for all of you who dont watch southpark.

haha My girl was mean if you were in her space. Once you had her out she would calm down. Although one time I had her outside in a ficus tree and I had to bring her in. I was trying to shew her into my hand and she ran down the branch and bit me and then ran the other way. It was a good bite and it hurt a bit... but man it was so funny to watch her attack and then retreat. :D

If she's gaining egg-weight quickly, her being overweight isn't too much of a concern. The number of eggs she's going to lay are already there - the only thing left is for them to grow and for her to lay down some calcium on them.

So feed her a lot, and give her a lot of calcium, too. I am not concerned with overfeeding my females when they're gravid. It's before they become receptive that I am careful.

She's a nice looking female.

Thanks for the tips Eric! should i be feeding her as much as she'll eat?

haha summoner that does sound funny. Leaf has given me a few close call strikes but no contact...yet lol.

I wouldn't go quite that far - they'll eat themselves into impaction sometimes - especially if she gets a large clutch growing in her.

I just wouldn't worry about her getting fat. Often, when females are growing huge clutches (really unnatural 70+ clutches), it's almost impossible to keep them in good condition. Fed as much as they eat, they still become emaciated.
