your uvb should be sitting on top of the cage(or close to it) and not that high up. Just to let you know, the compact bulbs have been known to cause eye issues in some chameleons. However, Some people have used them with no problems. The preferred bulb is the Reptisun 5.0 tube. the majority of us use them with no issues what soever. The choice is yours. Also what is the wattage of your basking bulb or your basking temp.

agreed^^^^^say no :p;):rolleyes::Dmore

Yes, the UV really works best under 12 inches of distance, so you want the top branch where he basks to be within that range.

The cage looks great though! It always takes me forever to build cages, I'm so impressed you did that in only a day. Great work!

Thanks for your input but the new Repti glo have been deemed safe and people on this forum have had no problems with them. I perfer to use tubes but the pet shop had 15in i needed 18in so for the moment i am test out the repti glo. I am not new to Owning chameleons up tell six years ago. I had about 10 chameleons Thats untell i had to move and adopt them out :(

I was working on the top of the cage on putting in my drip system and had the light up out of my way. Thanks for you imput but once again I am not new at this thank you.
