My enclosure for my new female

She is only 3 1/2 months old and is a blue bar ambilobe. I picked her and the cage up for a good price and hope to one day breed her to my male. Cage was only $25 and was the biggest he had, its 18inch tall and 14 inches wide and deep. She is still young, how long do you think she can stay in here for? As for lights I bought a zoo med heat bulb but for some reason ive had multiple ones burn out in about a month, so for now she has a 75w regular house incondecent bulb for heat and a tube reptisun 5.0 bulb. I put a small umbrella plant in with a fake vine. I also attached a hose to a misting system that goes on for 2 mins 3 times a day.

Looks good! I moved my female to her adult cage at 4.5 months. She loves it. 18x18x36. Some people may consider that a little early but she does very well with eating and Chameleon stuff.

I have the same problem with those $6 bulbs. House bulbs are the way to go. Those heat/basking bulbs die on me all the time. I bought 4 75 Watt and 4 60 Watt bulbs for $2 at the $.99 Store.

Its really up to you when you want to move her to a bigger cage. they grow faster in cages that are smaller just because they dont have to move too much to get food, id say wait till shes about 6months or so, or when she gets too fat. but its not really that big of a deal when you do it as long as shes not full grown and shes still in there.

can i just ask, im just researching at the moment, ive been told that you should not keep 2 chameleons together as it will stress them out. have i got the wrong end of the stick as i notice you have yours next to each other.

But not in the same enclosure.
In this situation it is advisable to install a visual barrier so that the animals cannot see each other.
The stress of seeing another chameleon in such close proximity compromises the chameleons ability to feel safe and un-threatened. However, if they cannot see each other, cages can be kept next to each other.
