My eggs aren't hatching!

My Ambilobe Panther Chameleons eggs are over 6 months old (laid 11-01-09) and my T. Montium eggs are over 5 months old (laid 12-27-09). They are both being incubated using the "closet" method, normally 70-75 degrees. They look healthy and grew pretty big already. They are mostly in "hatch-rite" and some are in vermiculite. Anything I can do to check up on them? Should I be doing anything else or do I just need more patience.

Thanks
Dustin

HA HA yes patience is all you need! My panther eggs usually hatch at 7 -8 month..

If your REALLY REALLY careful you can candle and egg to see whats inside.

But if they look good and they are growing..all you really need to do is wait

I know Panthers usually take a little longer but the Montiums hatch time is usually 4-5 months and I am getting worried. Have any of you guys hatched any Motiums that took a long time?

Dustin

Leave them alone... The only thing I do around the 6 month mark is add a wee bit of moisture to my substrate simulating the break of the dry season. A few warm days here triggered my last cluch to start hatching on the spring solstice which was 3/20. They were laid on 9/3.

See ya,

Todd

My longest panther eggs took something like a year to hatch (I want to say 13 months but it may have been 11- it's been a long time since I kept panthers).
