My dog and cham hangin' out

I totally love your photos!!! They are awesome and your dog must have the sweetest temperament to sit there with your chameleon. I think I told you before I had a yellow lab for 10 yrs. He was the best dog!!!

Thanks for all the encouragement. I'm happy some of you now have my pets on your screensaver.:) And yes, he is about as sweet as they come.

Great! Just curious, are you bouncing an on-camera TTL flash, or using a softbox or something similar off-camera? Based on the catchlights in the eyes I want to say its a soft box slightly up and to the right but I can't tell for sure.

Thanks!

Some of them I was holding the camera in one hand and the flash with an omni-bounce diffuser attached in the other and some I finally put my camera and flash on a bracket so the flash was off to the side without having to hold the flash. I rarely look through the viewfinder when shooting with my fisheye and just kind of shotgun it. I have to have the lens just an inch or two away from the subject and I usually end up with a wet lens and I just don't like looking through it that close. That being said, I don't know why I haven't been shooting with it displaying on the lcd. I've had the 7D since the week it came out 2-3-4? years ago and absolutely never think about using the lcd to frame the shot. So thank you for making me think.....I will use it from now on when shooting my fish.:)

I'm right with you on that one. After shooting so long without the opportunity for live view, I rarely remember I even have it! Thanks for the behind-the-scenes on the flash. I love the flexibility of today's modern flashes - it makes for some really creative shots. Keep up the good work!
