How do you deal with sand? It's so messy. Isn't that colored sand really bad for them if they eat it? I used sand years ago and I hated it. Now I use ceramic tiles in my leo cage. They look great! And really easy to clean

Now why would you resize? Just cause it took me 10 minutes and I am now dizzy? Really nice kids and the eyes in the third picture are wonderful, I would never have seen them as beautiful if you hadn't forgot to resize.

sand is a cinch to clean, I have a sifter and takes like 45 seconds to scoop entire 20g tank
larger grain sands can cause impaction

I just like the natural look of the sand too

Sand can be dangerous and cause impaction... its a rule I have to say it I have used sand without problems , I don't now as I have 150 leos and that could be hard to manage.


They are very nice Leos! Love the eclipse and that is a nice SHTCT. Is the one with the orange spots a RAPTOR?

I got it as a RAPTOR

Male is SnowxBell
also a MacSnowxbell female in there
Snake eyes is from a Emerald breeding project and has the greenish eyes on top w/ greenish spots on the tail
Have an Enigma x ? at work, but too small too be in with this colony, and this colony is maxed for size

I'll look into a new substrate...love my sand though
