i would really like to do this eventually, but i am very curious how you feed him? i would think you would have a lot of bugs free ranging your house too
Hahahhaa, this made me laugh because I'm dropping crickets and superworms and mine are still not free ranged and I'm cup feeding. EEEEK!!
I'm SO CLOSE to free ranging! I'm making Swyft stay in his cage while I'm at work so he has his UVB and heat lamp, then by 4 p.m. I'm home and letting him out for his jungle gym time until bedtime. He loves it!!
Thanks for the ideas! I'm not ready yet to make the total free-range shift but I'm getting closer!

When you are ready to free range just hang the lights that you use on the cage and set him up a tree. It doesn't have to be anything fancy, they just love being out. After all chams were ment to be in a jungle.
Just make sure you have a safe room free from other pets and thing that could hurt your cham and that you keep the same controlled conditions in the FR that you had in the cage.

I've got the tree, lots of bridges and highways, but the room isn't foolproof safe yet. Among other things, the computer needs dealt with as twice now he has chosen to climb up the keyboard cord to check his email.
The last thing I need is inappropriate chameleon web surfing.
