My chameleons tail is limp and a different color than body

Neuling

I've had my chameleon for a little over a week now and this is the first one I've ever owned. And her tail is limp and doesn't use it, I've been trying to keep her very hydrated, I put her in the shower on the other wall of the streams so it's just misting her and she doesn't drink. I don't know if it's a hydrating issue or what, please help me!

Looks necrotic (dying tissue) id make visit to vet. Deff not a hydration issue. Bery well could be injured before you owned it, caught between something, fell any other trauma, etc. make vet appt asap

She needs a vet ASAP. She looks very sick or injured. Poor little thing. Did you contact the place you got her? Could she have been injured during shipping?

That tail has suffered some type of trauma. The tissue is dying. Also the problem is going systemic throughout the whole system. You need a solid reptile vet, period. You have very very little time to save it if you can.
