my chameleon is digging?

I am really confused at what my chameleon is doing?!
She is only about 4 inches long including her tail and she keeps on digging at the bottom of her enclosure.
I know these are signs of egg laying, but she's way to tiny to lay eggs, she will barely get one out of her she's so small!
Does anyone else know what this could be?

Maybe she is thirsty. Digging in the pot to find moisture.

I have had a baby 4 month veiled do this...tho I never found the reason. She stopped eventually

She may just be bored! Try switching out whichever substrate you are using and put in a deep laying bin filled with moistened playsand to see how she reacts, just to be sure. Can we have a pic of your enclosure? My male used to dig when he was bored, long ago.

It may not be too early for egg laying, 4in sounds a bit larger to me but I haven't had a mature veiled female. Sorry I don't know the specifics!
