Hi, could you fill out the 'how to ask for help' form below, it could help a lot.......

Please remember that even the most knowledgeable person can only guess at what your problem may be. Only an experienced reptile veterinarian who can directly examine your animal can give a true diagnosis of your chameleon's health.

Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - The species, sex, and age of your chameleon. How long has it been in your care?
Handling - How often do you handle your chameleon?
Feeding - What are you feeding your cham? What amount? What is the schedule? How are you gut-loading your feeders?
Supplements - What brand and type of calcium and vitamin products are you dusting your feeders with and what is the schedule?
Watering - What kind of watering technique do you use? How often and how long to you mist? Do you see your chameleon drinking?
Fecal Description - Briefly note colors and consistency from recent droppings. Has this chameleon ever been tested for parasites?
History - Any previous information about your cham that might be useful to others when trying to help you.

Cage Info:
Cage Type - Describe your cage (Glass, Screen, Combo?) What are the dimensions?
Lighting - What brand, model, and types of lighting are you using? What is your daily lighting schedule?
Temperature - What temp range have you created (cage floor to basking spot)? Lowest overnight temp? How do you measure these temps?
Humidity - What are your humidity levels? How are you creating and maintaining these levels? What do you use to measure humidity?
Plants - Are you using live plants? If so, what kind?
Placement - Where is your cage located? Is it near any fans, air vents, or high traffic areas? At what height is the top of the cage relative to your room floor?
Location - Where are you geographically located?

Current Problem - The current problem you are concerned about.

Pictures are helpful

How often does this happen, when did it start? Could you possibly film it?

Sounds like an angry chameleon. Does she gape?

It may well be a normal Chameleon saying 'get away from me, I'm angry and or scared'. They do look pretty scary, lol
From what the op says I'm assuming the mouth is open.......
Next questions should be does she only do this when you go near her, does she stop when you back off?
If so, there's probably nothing to worry about........:)

ya she gapes it doesnt happen often once in a while shell do it she opens her mouth as wide as she can her flap comes out on the bottom and she scruntches her body up and usually looks to the side but its in a violent matter usually happens when i turn on her heat lamp for her in the morning

i mean its only when i turn on the lamp ill leave her alone just go over there to put the lamp on idk if it could be her yawning cause she just woke up thats if they even do that but after she does that she goes back to normal i mean i was told that they do that sometimes cause it can be to hot for them and shes trying to expand her body to get more air into her lungs usually when i take her out for a little while she never seems scared doesnt puff up nothing

Lol, mine does the same in the morning. Its just them stretching/yawning. Nothing to worry about although to be fair i was a little concerned the first time i saw it happen! :D

Your most welcome. Id stay clear of any breeding projects if thats your intention, you wont make any money as people wont pay good prices for crosses and its expensive to house and feed babies. Your more likely to lose a lot of money.

i mean if i was to do it i wasnt planning on doing it for the money it would be awesome to see the whole process of which new life was produced in front of your face its very interesting to me but i did send pictures to the people im getting the male from who is absolutely beautiful even tho they said its hard to tell with the females the best they could take a guess at by her coloration is ambilobe

okay just have to say it.....not to be mean but just wondering since its in the morning when you go over there- is it You? Are you scaring them with your morning appearance? LOL sorry had to say it:p:rolleyes:
