My chameleon has weird habits

so i think I've finally figured it out. He doesn't like to eat two different feeders at a time. he likes to eat one for a few days, then he'll stop eating it, then I switch it. Is that ok?

My Jax is like this. He doesn't like to eat two type of bugs at the same feeding. (He's a princess.) I used to do a regular rotation on the type of feeders until I realized he was holding out, sometimes for 2 or 3 days until because he knew something he liked better was on the way Now I try to make it more random.

That makes sense. In nature certain insects will be 'in season' for a few weeks, then their number will dwindle based on the life cycle and habits, so i cham may eat one or two types of insects for several weeks/months, until another insect becomes more abundant, and so on….
