My cham shack

So I'm breaking ground today on my Cham shack. Which will be 20x30 insulated, climate controlled, plumbed building for my growing chameleon(and probably ackie monitor) ventures. Im starting to hand dig the footers today. So at this point not much to see, and I plan to invest a good deal of money and have it completed by the time it gets cold again, as my chams spend a lot of time outside there will be a door to an area for me to transfer them outside and still house individually. The opposite side will be a chicken coop and pen for my mom. Im looking for reclaimed construction materials so it may take a bit longer than just buying 2x4s from home depot or a lumber yard. I've been looking for housing developments that have gone under and the bank has to sell all materials, or just demos in general. One of my landscaping clients runs an auction company and I may convert to a larger all steel structure if he can find me one. I'll update this thread with pix as I get further along. Just wanted to get everyone's thoughts and opinions on where the best places to buy construction materials are or alternative building methods. I want to use solar panels and batteries for all my electrical stuff.
