My Cham Man!!

Wow, nice chameleon. But, I don't think he is a pure locale; he looks like an Ambanja/ Nosy Be. Then again, I don't know for sure. But wow, he is a beauty!

I would have to agree it doesn't look pure. He is beautiful nonetheless.

However, any chance he is WC?

I thought the same thing but I've seen the sire and the dam both look like true blues. He does get more blue but hes trying on new colors lately. I believe the dam is w/c so I guess theres no 100 % guarantee

Thanks for the compliments :D

I absolutely LOVE the title of this thread!!!!! I love the enthusiasm of your post!! Your cham is stunning!! I don't care about the bloodlines, YOU love your cham.....and really, in the end, isn't that what it's all about?

Excellent pics, he looks amazing. He resembles the juvi Mitsio that I just got. Mine has the orange coming out in his eyes like that and has the light blue with the soft green back-round. I was told the blue will fade as he reaches sexual maturity. Can't wait to see this fella when he gets there. Great looking chameleon.

First I want to thank everyone for the nice compliments!!

I have always questioned Ernies locale since I brought him home and it seems everyone here is confirming. I believe Ambanja also.
With that being said I have sent these recent pictures of Ernie to the breeder.
The outcome really doesnt matter because he is an exquisite animal and I love him!:D

Well if you look at pictuers of male Nosy Be's taken in the wild, like in the panther chameleon book by gary ferguson, they are not all true blue. I don't know if there is a spot on the island where the males are generally always blue or not because i have never been there but I have seen more than a few wild caught Nosy Be males come in as a turqouise/greenish color with sky to deep blue bars. All I'm saying is it looks like many of the wild photographed nosy be's I have seen, my guess is that the female is most likely true blue if most of her offspring are that way but may have normal green and blue Nosy Be genetics somewhere far back that got expressed. Either way he is a very colorful little guy.
