First let me apologize if I have posted in the wrong place & if this question has been answered. I have searched many forums & haven't found an answer for my situation. My situation is this: I am babysitting my son's panther chameleon for a few months. She is about 15-16 months old & hasn't laid any eggs yet. She looks chubby, but that's not really new for her. I tried to feel for eggs, (she is very cooperative) but I can't tell. I have an opaque Tupperware container in her enclosure. It is 8" tall & 7" in diameter (it's round) & filled with washed beach sand (we live near the beach so we went for the free stuff ;)) She has not shown any signs such as going to the bottom of her cage & pacing around. In fact her adorable little feet have never even touched the bottom...ever. The container is easy enough for her to get into. I know it is too small for laying but I can't fit anything else in there so I figured when she showed signs that she wanted to lay I would take her out & put her in a much larger laying bin & cover her up & check on her every 24 hrs or so. She is eating ok and her colors are good--no stress, unless I put my hand in. I hope someone out there can help me (& Lucy). BTW how DO people put large enough laying bins in their enclosures? Thanks ahead. P.S. I hope I'll be able to figure out where to find any replies to this entry. I'm not very good at this stuff

What slot of us do if limit female chameleons food and use lower basking temps. This makes it so they either lay less eggs or ever no eggs at all. This takes a lot of stress of of your cham and helps them to live like never happier lives :)
