Id be afraid my Chameleons nails would tare through that screen. Other than that it does look nice! I always think about going make a cage but then... I never can find time too =[

i dont know? i dont have a came yet but ive only seen typically screen enclosures? its aluminum screening to idk if it will ?

From the picture it looks like the alluminum screening that is like a mesh type idk its really hard to explain because I dont know their exact names. I could be wrong though.... but Ive had some screen before similar to that one when I was making my iguanas cage and I would have trouble with it ripping.... Like I said I could be wrong its hard to tell by the picture.

If its the aluminum mesh I'm thinking of it shouldn't be a problem honestly... Once you try to go for anything stronger the gauge goes up and so do the gaps, which would allow food to escape which is a bad thing :( The only thing I would say is to be sure that if you haven't already, remove that excess screening and seal the frayed endings with more would or a sealant like rain proof caulk... Horror stories of cut chams and getting pierced by those barbs.. And I have used that screening several times for the feeder enclosures so I can attest it is sharper than you think...

Maybe I was wrong XD XD Listen to sean! ya def do someting with the extras that would be sad =[

I wouldn't say wrong! It definitely is NOT the strongest material but honestly chams don't weigh enough to tear it and when they do their feet are too big to climb it so it works out :) I had an iguana for a while and yea, he would've tore a huge a** hole through it and escaped

lol let me tell you XD Iguanas do no good with that material XD so my plans of building cages since then fell through.... Ive bene wanting to try to make another one though for my chameleons..... >> I just ordered a cage from llreptilse though and will be awaiting for it anytime now this week or next.

yes ive removed the excess sharp screening. i cut it and folded to over multi time to over lap anything i didnt feel or see. what kind of caulk would be ok in the cage. the basking bulb wouldnt make it soft at the top part of the door?
