My beardy Lili.

Lili (lee-lee) We got the name when my 6 year old niece could only say lili instead of lizard. (I think is a female, crap! We were told she was a male. :()

She had MBD when we got her and now she's doing better.

As far as we know she broke her front claw, but she can survive. We got her back in.. May? She's almost a year old and really small, so I've been told. :\

She's doing better now, active and loving her carrots! She will attack anything orange or shiny. She just bit my dang earring! Ouch!!!!!

In these pictures, she's in the bathtub because she doesn't like to poop anywhere else!

Her poor foot!

But she has very nice colours, and they will probably intensify as she gets older. I love it when they like pooping in the bath, it makes cage clean up much nicer.

I know, after we got her she was getting better but she jumped off a rock in her cage. She looked fine at first but then it began to bend a bit.. We were going to get x-rays but they are 220$ without all the other fees.

Aw ! :) She is adorable. We have a 9 year old bearded that we took in for someone who had an emergency..He was awesome.. Id like one again someday but when the kids are older as they like to run at everything and either poke it or cuddle with it.:)

Yea, we only had it about 1 of it and then rehomed him as we had to PCS and was afraid the 16hours trip would be too hard on him since that was pretty old for a beardie.. He is still kicking today and this was back in mid 08

Syn,
When you say bath tub what do you mean? A container in the cage where it can soak or soemthing else? I inherited a beardy 2 years ago and he's about 16" long. I was told to use a small water dish do it could drink. Also, was told to ocassionally hold it under a warm water shower once and awhile. One more question. What do you use as a substrate? I was told that silicate free playsand from Lowes or Home Depot is good and cheap. I am afraid to try it though.

In addition to chams I raise beardies, red ones. I keep my breadies on carpet. the cheap indoor/outdoor stuff from home depot. Not the real ruff stuff. I tape it to the cage so the crickets don't get under it. I provide a small water dish to my dragons which most use for a bathroom!! But hey it sure makes clean up a snap. It is real easy to sweep up any left over greens, dead crickets etc. I change out the carpet when it gets dirty. Also I soak each of my dragons every week in some warm, but not too hot, water. About ten minutes is good. They usually drink, swim and have a good time. They also jump out so watch them.

My dragons are a delight. They are very friendly and love people. When I take reptile to the schools the dragons are what I let people hold.

Laurie,
Thanks. I was going to place that carpet in the cage but decided not to. That is because my dragon goes all over the place and cleanup is a hassle. I may get a piece and try it any way. Do you toss it out when replceing or wash and re-use it?

When I lived in Calid I washed it, but here in Montana I toss them in the winter. No way I am going out to wash carpets nor an I washing them inside.:D
