My bearded dragon is laying eggs need some quick advice!

I've had my bearded dragon for about a month thinking it was a male, yet, it laid eggs today so all my theories on her gender have been answered today lol. It's night now and she is still laying them in her enclosure though despite the lights went off. My main question is should I leave her lights on for her during this time and what should I do with the eggs when she is finally done. I turned the lights on for her but I'm not really sure what I should do as this is the first time I've dealt with eggs from any of my reptiles. I took the first one out out of sheer shock and not knowing what to do with it!

This IS an egg right and not an abnormally large urate or something right?

I take it your girl has not been mated, so the eggs are not fertile. You should probably just discard the eggs before they rot. This is a good time to give your beardie a pinky mouse to help her regain the calcium she has lost. Also be sure to feed her extra crickets with calcium plus d3.

Do all the eggs look like that?

Was she with other bearded dragons before she came to live with you?

It's a blurry picture, but that looks possibly fertile...

Infertiles are usually saggy looking- not full.

Edit- of course I can't tell how big it is from the pic either... infertiles are softer, often saggy, and smaller.

The egg is actually white I think it showed up like that due to the camera for some reason. It's not exactly large but it is oval shaped. That one is the only one I have felt and it was soft when I did feel it. Later on it solidified. The lizard is over 3 years old allegedly, and the guy who was in charge of the reptiles said that he was sure it was a male because he pointed out a bulge to me. Guess he was wrong lol....

Her behavior the last couple of days made me start to question the gender though when she started digging in her enclosure. I looked it up and found out both genders do it and her belly never increased in size since I got her ( mid June) and ate right through all of it even today. I was also feeling her for eggs and felt no irregularlies so when I saw that egg today i was kinda surprised! Far as I know when I got her she was in an enclosure with two tortoises, but whether or not she ever was with a male I don't know.

If you didn't feel the eggs- probably they are infertile after all then.

Fertile would be about the size of the solid chocolate easter eggs wrapped in colorful foil at easter time.

If the egg is leathery but firm- that would be most likely fertile. If it is leathery and looks like a sack only partly filled- most likely infertile.

If she was with other bearded dragons a few months ago, there is the possibility she was bred.

You can leave the lights on or turn them off....I don't think it will matter. Don't let her see you watching her while she is laying them...you don't want her to stop part way through.

If there's a chance they are fertile then incubate them...and make sure you feed and water her well when she's done.

Wow... I just woke up and started feeding her what crickets I have left and I took one of her caves out of the tank where most of the clutch was laid apparently, and she ate two of her eggs right in front of me! Thankfully I think they were infertile but still wtf.... Some of them are not shaped right but others are shaped perfectly.. I counted 16 eggs I have discovered so far including the ones that she ate.
