It could be a good couple months before you see him start to reflect the colors from his father. But also, keep in mind that color is a genetic gamble! Just because he came from a really stunning sire does not mean that he will look the same. It's also worth noting that the bright, beautiful pics you see of the sires are their "fired up" colors. When they are calm, their colors are significantly less striking
Ok I understand! Thanks for replying! Haha. But it’s not like he’s gonna be brown for the rest of his life right? Bc all the pictures I see of chameleons are really bright and awesome looking with tons of color.They develop colors as they get older

is there anything I can do to encourage shedding? Is shedding just them growing? I have 3 crested geckos and they shed sometimes. They also eat they’re shed; so chameleons eat it as well?
I have read many care sheets and have done tons of research before purchasing him. I even called and asked Brianna Kammer from KammerflaugeKreations a bunch of questions about care before getting him. There just isn’t much info out there about them starting out with dull brownish colors, and if there is, it’s not clear enough. I have had reptiles all my life and have taken great care of them. Turtles, lizards, geckos, and an iguana at one point, just not chameleons until now. I’m still learning new things about them and I’m sure many chameleon owners can agree with me on that. That’s why I’m on this awesome forum

Miss countless photo opportunities while he was growing up because I did not always have the camera ready...
Realized that ALL the colors mean something and that they are all beautiful, but also learned the signs of stress and that some of the most vivid colors could mean that there is something that needs to be adjusted. Once I realized that I was able to enjoy all the different looks!
Anticipated each shed because the colors just seemed to be much more vibrant each time!!!
Realize that the best picture of all time for your chameleon may just be a bit out of focus or just the right timing. You cant worry about it, just hope you get the shot!
Each animal is unique and special and will develop as an individual under the best conditions we can provide. The Kammers have some amazing animals that have come from their efforts, and I'm sure that your little one will do them justice!
