So my experience with my first chameleon goes something like this...
Purchase veiled chameleon from pet store because he is with a much larger one in same tank and looks like he is always trying to get away from the other one.
Find Chameleon Forums and ask my first question and instantly know from the answers that I had to learn everything I could about chameleon husbandry, and FAST!
Found the Resources page and read them over and over...
Watch my chameleon grow and worry about every single thing!!!
Miss countless photo opportunities while he was growing up because I did not always have the camera ready...
Realized that ALL the colors mean something and that they are all beautiful, but also learned the signs of stress and that some of the most vivid colors could mean that there is something that needs to be adjusted. Once I realized that I was able to enjoy all the different looks!
Anticipated each shed because the colors just seemed to be much more vibrant each time!!!
Realize that the best picture of all time for your chameleon may just be a bit out of focus or just the right timing. You cant worry about it, just hope you get the shot!
Each animal is unique and special and will develop as an individual under the best conditions we can provide. The Kammers have some amazing animals that have come from their efforts, and I'm sure that your little one will do them justice!
