My Ambanja

eisentrauti - Bradypodion are protected in South Africa. To the best of my knowledge, it is illegal for him to keep them.

Paul - Hate to say it but the female that came in as an Ambanja was probably a Nosy Be. This is not an inbreeding issue from 2 generations.

Why aren't you satiesfied with the animals which live in your country ? I mean damaranum, thamnobates or pumilum are just gorgeous ! ;)

How common are Jackson's by you???? Cause i have been searching for 3 years and S.A. has non!!!!!! Jackson's are extremely limited and go for a lot when found.

Ill give the smugglers a call and ask where they go and what they get again. Its sounds horrible and i hate smugglers but the reality is that i know them and they bring most animals into S.A.

A few got arrested earlier on in this year:D. The Oustaletts that they brought in are now safely at the one bird park by my house:D

All the Bradypodion is protected besides for the one province (Kwazulu Natal).

Its is not legal to export any wild cought chameleons from S.A.:D
Thank goodness

Thanks for posting your pics too, Chris. I tried looking for your thread with Maddy pics but ran out of time this morning. You just can't argue with pics taken in the wild.

Hi,

I now that's illegal to export Bradypodions and I also know that S.A. is very strict there.
But I don't know if it's also illegal for inhabitants of this country to keep some of those amazing animals
