Music/noise therapy

So I'm picking up the WC oustalets finally today and have decided on some experimental relaxation therapy after the hydration chamber. Just going to loop the computer speakers in their room on rainforest and jungle sounds lol. I have a feeling it works on most animals the way it does on humans. That is on a vibrational level. Aside from that I hope it will help them adjust quicker and hopefully reduce a bit of stress. I remember listening to a program called The Ongoing History of Music(not sure if anyone has heard of this or if its a canadian thing). Anyway one of the two parters was about the affect of music on animals of various types. Stairway to heaven was played for cows in a milking barn in part of an experiment which ended up yielding more milk. Apparently heavy metal and techno actually do have an affect on adrenaline systems as well lol. I digress though. Input? Opinions? Harassment? Whatev its a good morning so have a nice day:)

As you know, they have no external ears so anything they 'hear' will be pretty muted. That said, I play a lot of music in the room where my lizards are, and they don't seem to mind (my Sav is a bit nervous and doesn't like to hear load cheering....:)). I reckon that for them a bit of rock'n'roll should be ok........I'd like to say the reggae relaxes them, but that would be a lie :D
All mine are captive bred though, so for WC ones I can see there may be a psychological benefit in hearing some sounds that are fairly familiar to them. Conrats on your new ones, I hope they settle in good :)

That's awesome! The cows have good taste ;)

That will be interesting to see if it helps them adjust better. I think its a good idea :)

Congrats on your new kids:)
