Multi-personality.

Well, my chameleon Rango seems like he has multiple personalities. I was feeding him today and he tried to get out of his cage which I couldn't understand because his cage is the biggest you can get. Then, after he ate I tried to handle him and he hissed at me. He's an odd little guy.

Maybe he doesn't like being handled after he eats?

I assume like any other creature they get curious. Maybe he wanted to have a look around the world outside of the cage. ;p

One of my chams is the same. I'm guessing he has trauma from when he was young

From what I understand, and have witnessed over many years of living with animals, it is quite normal for our non-human counter parts to behave in any way they wish. You can never predict what they will do next
