Mulberrys spouting

I try to recycle when I can. And after stripping off the leaves for silkworms, I cut up and use the branches in cages. Here's some pictures of a branch that has taken root on its own, in one of the baby j.jackson cages. I like the idea of being able to drop a silkworm or two on a leaf. Freshly feeding the food, before eventual tongue lashing.

I think its the right time of year, since the mother tree is in full spring growth mode. It surprised me too, how it took root.

I am going to try that. I have tried planting the berries to get some seedlings going but they never sprout.

I have a mulberry tree too and gonna give it a try. Did you just cut the end off and stick it in dirt?

If you guys want to make "clones" of your Mulberry tree, or whatever tree you can try a method called air layering.

I have a mulberry tree too and gonna give it a try. Did you just cut the end off and stick it in dirt?

It was unexpected. I don't even think I stuck the branch in the soil. It must of slid down and rested in the pot and dripper/ moisture did the rest.

since u have a mulberry tree would u please take a few pics up close of the leaves and the tree itself?! I havetryed to research and find them but no luck. Mayn=be the pic I have isn't a good pic. I am raising silkies and I need more food they have been on chow. Thanks!
