Mulberry tree safe?

Everything on the mulberry is chameleon safe but the leaves. There is a reason why "no bug" eats the leaves other than the special adaptation silk worms :)

...And that neutralizes the toxicity? I didn't know about any of this. I knew silkworms lived on the leaves (so do tent caterpillars, BTW; we had 'em for years in our tree). The squirrels had turf wars in the treetops, and our border collie would lie under the tree lapping up fresh & mushed berries til her feet turned purple. We used to wonder if she got a buzz from fermented berries, but we later learned there wouldn't be enough alcy to do that. Guess she just liked the berries—she was a berry-face for all kinds—strawberries from our garden under the tree, blue, rasp, black, mul, and cherries...(we pitted them for her, but just a few...)
