Mr. Frog

Solid Snake

So I am laying there this morning, reading, and I look over, and this guy is hanging out on my window screen:

I could not believe it! I have heard them, but in the 4 months Ive lived here, I have not seen a single frog. ;/

I put him in a screened enclosure, with a small plant.

I gave him a nice misting (for good measure), and he ate a few dubia nymphs. :)

Mr. Anole stopped by to hang out in the shed with us as well.

So it was a fairly herpy derpy morning.

After admiring him for a while, Mr. Frog was (somewhat reluctantly) placed back on the window screen. :(

That is awesome man, I wish I had herps running around here lol. I did catch(and release) about 150 gardener snakes while cleaning up garbage over at my marina over the weekend. But thats about as far as herping gets in MI

Haha thats awsome :) u should of kept mr.frog! Hes cute lol

Well, I contemplated it, but I know nothing of frogs  and have my hands full with chameleons atm. :)

Besides, I would just feel bad. ;/

Im not used to it, its pretty cool!

I caught what I could only identify as a "rat snake" the other day as well!
It was about 2-1/2' long. I see small 6" ones sunning sometimes, but they always hide before I can get to them. ;/

ugh, i wished i lived in a warmer climate! theres no frogs or snakes out just yet here in pa :/ over the summer when i worked on the farm, i was always in the pond catching frogs or in the cornfields chasing after snakes XD or in the river going after salamanders :p then id chase people with them..specially other sissy girls ;)

Heres a few....

Yes! That is what the small, elusive ones here look like! :p

150 snakes, is a lot of snakes ;/
(I can give you a recipe ;))

The only snakes Im really used to seeing, are rattle snakes. ;/

I stay away from those ;)

Also, can anyone say what species of frog Mr. Frog is?

Or whether or not he is actually a Mr. and not a Ms. ?

That frog certainly isn't shy! I have some small brown frogs in a field near my house, but they are quick little guys! the biggest ones I've seen aren't much bigger than a nickel.

Over here in Washington we have pacific tree frogs and leopard frogs and bullfrogs which are outrageously common. To the point on a rainy day.. which is most days... U can not drive without gettin a few :( sad I know I swerve the best I can but u have no idea.
It kinda looks like a pacifc tree.. but I don't know about ur area. And pacific frogs have black streaks from there eyes.. i have a batch of tadpoles just starting to have leg buds.

Hard to see I know... I'm hoping for some leopard frogs in there and I'm thinkin I got a Pacifc giant salamander in there too :) fingers crossed
All will be released.. unless I got a giant sally :)

Really? Its not bad here, but I would not call it "paradise" :p

I like it better than the dessert I was living in though. ;/

I may cruise down there sometime. ;)

Try living in Washington.. western Washington for that matter.. I get about 2 to 3 months where MOST days are nice enough to let the herps outside

By picture comparison I would GUESS Green Tree Frog.

Im going to agree here. ;)

Today, I found around 20 of these babies!
They may or may not be the same species, Im not sure if they change color as they age. They are definitely some type of tree frog though.
They were just super cool! I had to snag one up for some pics!
