Moving Panther Chameleon To Tree

HI, do u guys think i should buy a tree and let my panther chameleon climb on it everyday and put him back at night? And what tree should be cheap and safe for them

Do you mean as an indoor part time free range? I would use a ficus. If you plan on having him out most of the day you will need UVB.

If you hope to put them outdoors then they definitely need to be in a cage. They can and do climb or jump off trees to get away. That's not to say you can't put a cage around a tree! =) I have cages around a jasmine plant and a schefflera tree outside for my little buddies.

Ficus is a good indoor choice, and there are lots of cool ficus trees to choose from. But like JJ said, they still need the UVB and the correct temps in doors.

How are you going to provide the UVB and a basking area that's warm enough for it in such a way that the chameleons can't climb on the lights and burn itself? How will you provide water for the chameleon? Food? How will you stop it from getting off the tree? Do you have a dog or cat in the room it will be in?
