moving cham to a bigger cage

You know, I'm hesitant to say yes because it's not a provable fact, but I had two runtier chams and they bloomed when I put them in adult cages. Maybe it was that or it was just coincidence, but it couldn't hurt.

However, growing at a proper pace is always healthier. Is there a reason you're worried?
You could go ahead and get the 2x2x4' cage now, as long as you make sure he's still catching his food (either by hand feeding or cup feeding).

From my limited experience of changing cages for chams, I know that it does change their attitudes. My male Veiled took almost a week to be eating properly again (he must have been homesick, even though he always seemed comfy in the new place). My female took less time to settle in, but she's always been a hungry young fighter.....:)

I just moved my cham into a larger cage. I find now that he is not as mean.

When I open the door he comes and greats me, he is way more loving!

Eating never changed, my cham would eat 30 crickets a day if I let him I think. He it kind of a pig LOL!!!

i want to move him to a larger cage really bad. i know that i am going to be getting the proper light by the end of the month. what should i do, will he be ok being with out the right light for half a month or should i just wait?

I just moved my 4-5 month old veiled into a bigger cage, he LOVES it! He won't puff up when I feed him, he let's me clean his cage (mostly). I let him free range for the first time a couple days ago while I cleaned the bottom of his cage, he liked that too. Bigger cage is happy chameleon :).

You should wait. Being without a UVB light for two weeks isn't good.

EDIT: I just saw you live in Cali. What you could do is put him in his new cage and have it outside for a few weeks until the lighting comes in. How hot is it? You will want to make sure he has shade if needed, and make sure no predators can mess with him.

Ill do that. It is really sunny here in cali so im guessing it can make up for it.

Should i leave him out all day then bring him in before sunset?
