hello, just want to find out if anybody ever experienced their chameleon sometimes would open their mouth and stay open for maybe about 5-8 seconds ? just want to make sure. thanks.

Camimom and CarlyMK have it right. It's probably overheating and he/she is just trying to cool off. However, more information is needed to make sure.

Heat related gaping is more prolonged than a few seconds in my experience. This sounds like a yawn or a stress response to the OP's presence.

Asking for temps was good due diligence, but at those temps you can rule out overheating.

If the gaping is accompanied by a popping sound, it's time for a vet visit for a respiratory infection.

OK, will keep monitoring closely, also is it true that the urate sometimes could be in liquid form ? thanks again

Nope.
Updates are solid. It might be less solid if they have eaten a lot of soft bodied worms though.
