I see most of you use rocks to cover the dirt in your potted plants would it be ok to moss to cover the dirt instead. Just curious if it would be ok since I think it would look nice

You don't want to use anything that might be able to be ingested.

live moss or spanish kind of a thing?

I think a nice live moss would work if the chameleon doesnt have a tendency to try and eat dirt/other stuff that shouldn't be eaten.

if the moss has long strands, don't use it. If the cham ingests a long piece of moss, there is the potential for it to become twisted in their intestinal tract.
If it is non-toxic short pieces of moss, its probably fine.

Try using pillow moss or live moss with pebbles to fill in the gaps between. Should work well - it's pretty, but without strands to be ingested. :)
